So I had been vacillating between the two for some time, as I've been trying to figure out how to branch out RoE. Specifically to get more attention to the story itself.
But I've realized I've got a lot more problems than simply attracting a larger audience. Mainly, that I don't have enough art. Not enough art means I won't be able to do much promo on any social media site.
It's kind of a cascading set of problems: need art, need marketing, need higher audience.
Going either the YouTube or Twitch route would have simply added more jobs to the list - need to do audio design, graphics, motion graphics, VTuber design, and so on.
So I'm scrapping those two, and relegating them to the "hopefully someday" drawer.
For now, I'll just focus on making art. The way I figure it is if I start practicing my drawing again, and releasing them on TikTok, that'll get me a few views. And in practicing my art, I can actually do something as crazy as draw the RoE webtoon.
With a webtoon, I can publish on WebToon and Tapas while asking for donations via Patron. I think this might have to be the way to go. Making a manga version was always in the works, just didn't think I was going to do the art, too.
But this kinda works out better, in a way. It's just more work.
Gonna practice a bit before I start publishing any vids to TikTok. And it'll be a while until I start doing some paneling and whatnot.
Still, keep an eye out. I'll be posting here with more updates as we go along. But yeah, basically: RoE manga real, real soon.
