Been improving my artwork a whole lot lately, to the point where I'm actually comfortable putting them in the book. Up above is the (more or less) final design for Eva, and this is the foreground for Volume One. You can watch the timelapse on TikTok here.
I still have a bit of color balancing to do - the screen that I'm drawing on doesn't look quite that yellow, and I'll have to adjust that skin tone a whole lot. Otherwise I think the artwork is pretty good.
Please comment with criticisms.
I was originally going to make the background a silhouette of a training mecha, but I'm going to have to change that to something else. Probably same training mecha, but in the middle of some kind of action scene in the rust-colored Martian soil. Should make for some great contrast.
I'll try to have it done by next week.
In fact, I plan to have a lot of the artwork done in the next couple of weeks. I just hope what I make is good enough for you guys. Then the book will be off to the printers!
I'm pretty hyped for that to happen.
